Mr. Bhuban Kadel, Sr. Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has been recently appointed as NRB's representative in the Board of Directors of National Banking Institute Ltd. (NBI). He was nominated by NRB following the retirement of Mr. Laxmi Prapanna Niroula, the previous Chairman of NBI's Board of Directors.
The Board meeting of NBI dated 5th February 2020 has unanimously elected Mr. Kadel as the Chairman of the Board. He carries 26 years of hands on work experience in banking out of which initial 9 years is with Nepal Bank Ltd. and the remaining 17 years in Nepal Rastra Bank. During his tenure with Nepal Rastra Bank, he has had opportunities to work in various departments like Bank Supervision Department, Financial Management Department, Public Debt Department, and Currency Management Department etc. Professionally, he is a Chartered Accountant. Currently he is the Executive Director, Internal Audit Department of NRB.
